Students' Activities

•  Sports week was celebrated by MBA Students. Games like cricket, volleyball, chess, carom, etc. was played and winners were given motivational prizes.

•  Cultural week was celebrated by MBA Students. Days like Traditional day, vegetable day, executive day, patriotic day, environment day, etc was celebrated by students.

•  Seniors gave warm welcome to their juniors by arranging a welcome function. Students showed their talents by participating in various events.

•  Mr. Rajesh Patel & Mr. J. A. Sethi attended the National Seminar on “Ethics and Management: Emerging Issues in the new Millennium” organized by SKSBM, Patan and presented a paper on Ethics in Marketing.

•  Juniors gave Farewell to their seniors. Shri C. M. Patel vice chairman of the trust enlightened the occasion with their presence. Secretary Shri M. L. Patel also attended the function. Dr. L. N. Patel also remained present in the farewell.

•  Mr. Rajesh Patel, Mr. J. A. Sethi, Mr. Amit Patel & Mr. Bhavesh Patel attended the Seminar on “Vision Gujarat 2020: Strategies and action plans for Sustainable development organized by SKSBM Management Forum, 2003.

•  Youth and environment committee has planted 250 plants in the college under the 2003-plantation program, 16th July 2003.

•  Junior students gave farewell party to their seniors and wished them best luck for their bright future.

•  Miss Kaumudi Upadhyay student of Sem-4 stood second in the University in 2001-2003 batch.]

•  On the occasion of 2nd anniversary of MBA College , first alumni meet was organized. Guests of honor were Shri C. M. Patel (vice chairman of the trust) and Prof. S. S. Patel (Head of the department, E.C., SPCE). Mr. Bhavesh Patel (Faculty member, MBA College ) welcomed all the guests and students on behalf of MBA College . The function was started with the tradition of cutting the cake. Honorable Vice Chairman Shri C. M. Patel cut the cake and inaugurated the function. Shri Amit Patel (faculty member, MBA College ) gave information about the first batch of MBA. 92 % of all the students have been placed in their respective fields. Leading companies like HDFC bank, Backyard etc, have given placements to students. Senior students shared experiences of their first job. They also advised the students for the interview to be faced by them in future for their placements. In the meeting Constitution Of Alumni Association was approved. Function of alumni association and its importance were also discussed. Functions of alumni association are arrangement of seminars, guest lectures, summer training, final placement and solution of study related problems. At last, vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Jaya Ashish Sethi, faculty member of MBA College , which was followed by informal meeting among the students. There was also an arrangement for Music and Garba.

•  Mr. Rajesh Patel Presented in AIMS western region conference 2005 organized by VM Patel Institute of Management, Kherva and SK School of Business Management, Patan and Presented Case study on “Raheja Komatsu Batteries (I) Ltd. : The Company received a wake up call” And Mr. J. A. Sethi attended the conference.

•  Mr. Rajesh Patel & Mr. J. A. Sethi attended the Workshop on “Accreditation and preparation of SSR for NAAC Accreditation” organized by SKSBM, Patan.

•  A student of MBA College studying in semester – 2, wrote a book review. Steven Morris, Graham Willcocks & Eddy Knassel on ‘How To Lead A Winning Team', wrote the book.

•  A debate competition was held in association with Bank of Baroda (BOB) in the Visnagar city. Approximately 25 students took part in it. The theme was “Privatized Banks Vs. Public Sector Banks”

•  The juniors offered a farewell party to their seniors, on the occasion the alumni of the college were also invited. They shared their valuable experience with the students informally.

•  A warm welcome was given to the freshers. Seniors greeted the newcomers in informal and humorous manner and made them feel of the new campus. There were different entertaining events like drama, mimicry, and dance performances, backed by melodious music. All the faculty members facilitated the occasion. Sponsors of the program were also invited to the party.

•  Students participated in the event organized by SKPIMCS, Gandhinagar and won prizes.

•  Students also participated in the cultural program organized by Roffel Institute.

•  Mr. Bhavesh Patel (lecturer MBA College ) wrote outlook on “Guidelines For Investment Decisions”. Mr. Prashant Singh Kutaula held a workshop on ‘Communication Skills Building Workshop'.

 

Extra-curricular activities are important for all round development of the students.In order to develop multi-faceted personality of student, extracurricular activities are very much part of every NSVKMees life wherein they get opportunities to manage the events.
